DEGADUR® ACCELERATOR 101
Accelerator for increasing the reactivity of Degadur® resins for application temperatures of less than 5 ºC.
Accelerator is an additional activator which significantly increases the reactivity of Degadur® resins in the temperature range of -30 ºC to about 5 ºC, and as a result, ensures rapid curing of coating compounds made of degadur resins.
Accelerator 101 consists of Dimethyl-p-toluidine.
Accelerator 101 is added in an usually amount of 0,1 to 0,5% by weight at very deep temperatures up to 3,0 % to the Degadur resins. As a result, Degadur® resins can be cured even at a temperature of -30 ºC
Accelerator 101 may not be brought into direct contact with hardener powder (peroxides) – spontaneous decomposition is possible.
The addition of accelerator 101 increased the yellowing of clear polymerisized resins (for example top coats)
Higher concentration of (> 0,5%) decrease the mechanical strength.
